You were made for today and today was made for you.

Our Approach

You as an individual are part of a larger system such as your family, your community, and even humanity. Our goal is to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors have been learned, shaped, and used to survive and relate to the world around you. Together we will evaluate how your learned style of life is working and work together to overcome feelings of insecurity and correct and redirect patterns of behaviors, feelings, assumptions, and emotions about how you relate to the world around you to give you the confidence be courageously connected and known.

Since we have been part of larger communities such as families of origin and culture, we have also been wounded by words or actions that have helped shape our thinking today. When we learn about our past experiences, our relationships we learn more about how we relate to and see the world today. My goal as a therapist is to explore the past with you to see how your experience have shaped the framework from which you see yourself and world. I believe our behavior is goal oriented and it is important to learn what our own behavior is trying to do for us.

Awareness is not enough if we don’t then take the next step to live more connected and significant. I work with the client to help them assess their lifestyle and work with the client to develop new thought patterns and behaviors.

I use a variety of techniques and intervention based on CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, TraumaPlay, and the 12-steps to help you courageously explore your past and present to help facilitate change needed for healing and growth.
